How does Slider work?
IT’S
EASY TO LEARN, EASY TO RIDE and FUN, FUN, FUN!
Simply
step on the Slider action decks and choose your favorite riding style:
|
SCISSOR ACTION
|
|
|
b)
a) |
(start
from the bottom picture)
Push both feet
out as far as you can, overcoming the resistance of the drive-springs;
then pull your feet all the way
in and repeat…

|
| SKATING
ACTION (similar to rollerblading)
|
| |
b)
a) |
(start
from the bottom picture)
Simultaneously
twist your body to the left and push out with your left foot as
you turn sharply to the right, then twist right and push out with
the right foot as you turn to the left. The key is to maintain one
fluid motion as you increase the pace and speed.

|
| SLALOM
ACTION (like parallel skiing)
|
| |
b)
a) |
(start
from the bottom picture)
Same as SKATING
except you twist and throw both feet to the left as you steer right,
then switch. The key here is in quickly shifting your body weight
to each side so your hips are pointing forward to sweep the back
end back and forth like a fish tail.

TURNING INSTRUCTIONS
- Always use brakes
when turning. DO NOT ATTEMPT QUICK TURNS.
- Always keep feet
shoulder width apart through the turn and wider at higher speeds.
- Always lean forward
and towards the inside of the turn (more at higher speeds, see Counter-steering
below).
| SLOWER
TURNS
|
| |
|
Slower
turns are accomplished normally by turning front wheel in the desired
direction.

|
| COUNTER-STEERING
/ FASTER TURNS |
| |
b)
a) |
(start
from the bottom picture)
Higher speed
turns require counter-steering to keep the back from pivoting around
too quickly.
a) Begin by turning the front wheel in the desired direction, but
as the rear wheels begin to steer, the back of SLIDER will pivot
around.
b) Slowly turn the front wheel in the opposite direction of the
turn to slow the rate at which the back end pivots.
